This was discovered  during a visit carried out to the waste dump by the First Lady of the Simón Rodríguez municipality and her team.

Mrs. Zambrano said that they found 92 boys, girls and adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17 who live among the garbage.

She explained that these minors are not in school and many do not have gone through the normal vaccination schedule.

She also indicated that they found pregnant teenagers and that they maintain a family structure inside the landfill.

Mrs. Zambrano pointed out that in that space they also identified 11 inhabitants of the Simón Rodríguez municipality, all adults between 18 and 54 years old.

She pointed out that for the next few days she plans to present these findings to the First Lady of the neighboring Guanipa Municipality, so that they work jointly with this population that they have fully identified.

The First Lady remarked that to avoid this type of situation, the Mayor of the Simón Rodríguez municipality is carrying out the “Solo Dos” (Only Two) campaign that promotes family planning.
