President Guaidó thanked Colombia for its efforts to make visible to the world the humanitarian tragedy caused by Maduro’s dictatorship

The President in Charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, thanked the humanitarian policies implemented by the government of the President of Colombia, Iván Duque, in favor of Venezuelan migrants.

“Colombia is deeply aware of the consequences of Maduro’s dictatorship: migration, humanitarian emergency and protection for irregular armed groups,” said the Venezuelan head of state in a message posted on his social network accounts.





The Venezuelan president added that as a consequence this, the efforts of the government of President Duque have been fundamental in helping Venezuelan migrants and denouncing Maduro’s regime.

Thanks to these joint efforts, he continued, the dictatorship has been unsuccessful in trying to whitewash its image whithin the international community.

“But support for the democratic alternative is not an ideological issue, but rather the understanding of the problem we face as a region and the need for a solution,” President Guaidó concluded.
